Out of Memory crash after reinstall
After reinstalling the app (I had to reset my iPhone without a backup for unrelated reasons):
- The app will login fine
- Show my partner's status ("online") fine
- I can send messages. They never show up on my end, but my partner receives them. I receive push notifications for messages my partner sends, but they never load in the app.
- After about 60 seconds of the app trying to load in the chatlog history, it crashes with a LowMemory crash log.
This makes the app unusable right now, and we've had to revert to iMessages :(
This is on an iPhone 4S, not jailbroken or anything like that. Happens after a clean reboot of the device too.

I just tried this on the 3rd gen iPad (which has 1 GB RAM, twice as much as the 4S), and it happens there too. There's some really pathological memory usage situation going on here.
