From what I understand, being only a relatively recent user of Pair, the Moments section functions as an overarching archive of all the media sent between the paired couple so instead of scrolling through the conversation list, you have the photos, videos and what have you not displayed right there in the moments section.
I could be wrong but that's my personal experience of the Moments component so far.

Anyway, I forgot to say; I have just started to try the app, but it already seems FANTASTIC to me!! =)
